When people push back, it’s rarely about what they say it’s about.

“This won’t work.” “We don’t have budget.” “Now’s not the right time.”

Drawing directly on sales psychology (without the ick), this session explores what’s really underneath resistance, and how to respond in ways that lower defensiveness and create movement.

This is advocacy with curiosity, not persuasion or pressure.

In this session, we’ll explore:

Surface vs hidden objections — and why tackling the surface rarely works
The most common blockers: budget, risk, trust, timing, and identity
How values, fear, and self-protection show up as “logic”
Curiosity-led questions that open conversation instead of closing it down
Staying grounded and kind when resistance feels personal

You’ll leave with:

A clearer sense of what’s actually getting in the way
Practical question prompts you can use immediately
More confidence handling pushback without over-explaining or bracing
Less defensiveness — from them and from you

This session is especially useful if you’re advocating for:

New services, resources, or ways of working
Change that challenges habits or identity
Anything that requires buy-in, not just approval
