Neuroinclusion does not stick when it relies on goodwill alone. It becomes sustainable when it is built into strategy, systems, and decision-making.

This practical, strengths-based session supports library staff, managers, and leaders to move beyond individual adjustments and embed neuroinclusion into long-term planning, service design, and organisational priorities.

The focus is on systems change: how neuroinclusive thinking shows up in plans, frameworks, data, and everyday decisions — not just policies that sit on a shelf.

What this session focuses on

From intention to infrastructure Understanding the difference between inclusive values and inclusive systems.
Creating a neuroinclusion plan Developing a realistic, strengths-based plan for your team, service, or function.
Strategic alignment Connecting neuroinclusion work to institutional frameworks, access and participation goals, EDI strategies, and staff wellbeing priorities.
Using data kindly Designing listening systems, feedback loops, and review points that support learning and improvement without surveillance or blame.

What you’ll work on

Participants will be supported to:

Identify where neuroinclusion already exists — and where it falls through gaps.
Clarify priorities rather than trying to “fix everything”.
Translate neuroinclusive principles into strategic actions.
Think about evidence, feedback, and measurement in humane, proportionate ways.
Leave with a clear next step that fits their organisational context.
